MIT Turns a Historic Warehouse Into an Architecture School

Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Leers Weinzapfel transformed a 195,000-square-foot masonry warehouse by cutting new openings and inserting flexible teaching spaces. The project shows how adaptive reuse can preserve a substantial existing structure while giving it a completely new purpose.
