Critical Systems Telecommunications Expansion
Baca Williamson Architects prepared architectural drawings for the expansion of an existing telecommunications facility in Connecticut. The work converted accessory and support space into more useful technical area for network infrastructure.
Because the space supports critical systems, the documents also had to keep the field details straight: fire-rated separations, door and wall assemblies, penetrations and firestopping, inspection notes, and pressure-test/commissioning coordination where those items touched the architectural scope.
This was a quiet, practical kind of commercial architecture: existing-condition review, wall and partition changes, ceiling and door coordination, accessibility/code review, and coordination with mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, fire protection, telecommunications, and structural drawings.
