Open Floor Plan Renovation in Wantagh
Three coordinated interior renderings show how the kitchen, dining and living areas can work as one connected first-floor space.
This Wantagh project began as a study of how several first-floor rooms could feel more connected without losing the practical zones a family needs. BAWI developed the layout and visualized it from several viewpoints so the relationships between the kitchen, seating and circulation were clear before construction decisions were made.
The Design Goal
The main goal was a brighter, easier-to-use first floor with clear sightlines and a natural path between the kitchen and adjoining rooms. The design balances an open feeling with defined places for food preparation, storage, seating and gathering.
BAWI's Approach
Rather than treating each room separately, BAWI studied the first floor as one sequence of spaces. The renderings helped test proportions, cabinet organization, seating, lighting and the views from one area to the next. Showing the same proposal from three angles also made the design easier to review and refine.
The Result
The completed design concept gives the kitchen a strong center while keeping it visually connected to the rest of the first floor. The three renderings belong to this single Wantagh project and together explain how the proposed renovation is intended to work.
